General Planning

When should we start planning our wedding?

It's best to start planning at least 12-18 months in advance, especially if you have a specific date or venue in mind. Some vendors book up quickly, so the earlier you start, the better your chances of securing your preferred choices. However, in Utah, this trend isn't always the norm. My wife and I were engaged in April and married in August, making our time to plan only 4 months. You can do this!

How do we set a realistic wedding budget?

Start by determining how much you can comfortably spend and prioritize the most important aspects of your wedding, such as venue, catering, and photography. Use our digital budget template to allocate funds appropriately and track expenses along the way.

What should we book first?

The venue should be your top priority since it affects your wedding date and the availability of other vendors. After securing your venue, book your photographer, caterer, and other essential services as soon as possible.

Last-Minute Tips

What should we do if the weather doesn’t cooperate?

Have a backup plan, especially for outdoor weddings. Many venues offer indoor alternatives, or you can rent tents to provide shelter. Always check with vendors about their weather contingency plans.

What are some must-have emergency kit items for the wedding day?

Include items like safety pins, pain relievers, tissues, stain remover, extra makeup, and snacks. Having a small kit on hand ensures you’re prepared for any last-minute mishaps.

How can we enjoy the day without stress?

Trust your vendors, delegate tasks, and focus on the moment. The day will go by quickly, so take time to soak it all in and enjoy every special moment!
